Monumental walls that grow from sand and can be seen miles away. Cool oasis among dry dunes and hot wind. This is a personal little paradise, within the walls of which you can find the long-awaited coolness. I was inspired by ancient Egyptian temples and their elegant brutalism, where the clear forms are subject to a single idea and rhythm. The peculiarity of ritual processions eliminates the need for lighting – these processions were held in the dark. Dark halls was preceded by ‘light yards’, which had a ritual significance.
Ofcourse it’s difficult to imagine life in complete darkness. That is why the main buildings are crowned with glass domes, and the “light yard” between them is turned into a swimming pool.
